Our newcomer students have the wonderful opportunity to go on field trips to have new experiences and develop their English vocabulary and skills. Check out some of the great experiences we've had!
Lazy 5 Ranch
In September 2015, second to fourth grade students went to Lazy 5 Ranch. Before going on the field trip, students read a variety of books about animals and studied vocabulary to describe animals. Students then used their new vocabulary to write about their experiences on the field trip. After composing and editing their writing, they created an online digital story using VoiceThread.
