November 18, 2016

This week we were very busy!

We learned about the parts of our body, including ankle, wrist, shoulder, neck, and many more. We traced our friends' bodies and practiced writing "This is her head" or "This is his knee." It was very fun!

We also made art projects with our special art teachers, Ms. Mallory and Ms. Lindy. They helped us think about and show our dreams, wishes, and hopes.

We shared about our different countries, nationalities, and languages. We made our countries' flags and piccollage projects too. We asked each other the question "How do you say ___ in ___", like "How do you say hello in kinyarwanda?"(Muraho) or "How do you say cat in Japanese?" (neko). We really enjoyed getting to teach other, and it was awesome hearing everyone speaking our different languages.

In the Discoverers' class, Mr. Garrett, a teaching assistant at our school, came as a special treat and did a science experiment and a teamwork game with us. Thanks Mr. Garrett!
